Kazuo Sato, the judge of the international section, made
the comment quoted below:
"Serving as a judge for the international section of
the Mainichi Haiku Contest, I realize how popular haiku
are across the globe.
A lot of haiku were contributed from various
countries around the world. I was impressed especially
by the haiku written by Alexey Andreyev in Russia.
Over all, the level of haiku was so high I had a hard time
picking the prize winners."
We all applaud you!
